Born out of a love for family, community and exceptional coffee, Smith St Coffee Roasters is an emerging and fast-growing Australian roastery with a bold vision: to connect cultures, communities and conversations — whatever Smith St you may live on or near.
As we grow, we're opening newly created roles for passionate people who want to help elevate Australian coffee culture and champion our coffee across Sydney. You'll be building genuine relationships with cafés and retail partners who value connection, consistency and exceptional roasting above all else.
Embedded in our vision is a belief in the power of coffee to bring people together, spark honest conversations — good, bad or ugly — and, through our Every Bean Cares program, help create meaningful, positive change for fellow Australians.

About you
You're a self-starter with strong business acumen, a genuine passion for specialty coffee, and the drive to help grow a brand you believe in. You thrive in a highly autonomous, on-the-road sales role and know how to turn conversations into long-term partnerships.
What you'll bring

3-5 years experience in the specialty coffee industry, with strong technical knowledge of coffee, equipment and troubleshooting. Previous barista experience is highly desired.

Deep understanding of the Sydney coffee market and the ability to identify and act on growth opportunities.

Demonstrated success in cold canvassing, converting prospects, and maintaining a healthy, disciplined sales pipeline.

Ability to run engaging coffee tastings, equipment demos, and compelling presentations that win accounts.

Strong negotiation skills and a commitment to exceptional after-sales service.

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and collaborate effectively across teams.

Exceptional organisation, time management and problem-solving ability.

A track record of continuous improvement, with innovative ideas that elevate customer experience.

Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with strong self-discipline, follow-through and a sense of urgency.
